1. Mandatory Consumer Law Statement
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
2. 5 Year UV Stability Warranty
Impact Holdings Australia Pty Ltd (the Company) warrants the UV stability and ink pigment retention of prints produced using Orafol 3651GRA vinyl in combination with Orafol 213M laminate for a period of five (5) years from the date of invoice, subject to the conditions below.
Coverage Periods
- Vertical exposure: five (5) years
- Horizontal exposure: two point five (2.5) years
- Horizontal exposure applies to vehicle roofs, bonnets, or any surface angled more than 20 degrees from the vertical plane.
Definition of Failure
A failure is defined as fading or colour shift that is clearly visible to the naked eye from a distance of two (2) metres under natural daylight conditions.
3. Conditions & Exclusions
This warranty is limited strictly to ink and print performance and does not cover the following:
Physical Wear
Abrasion, stone chips, scratches, impact damage, or damage caused by mechanical washing, high pressure cleaning exceeding 800 psi, or abrasive cleaning methods.
Surface Compatibility
Failure of adhesion resulting from application to low energy plastics, silicone contaminated surfaces, unpainted plastics, or heavily textured substrates.
Improper Application
Any lifting, bubbling, edge failure, or shrinkage caused by application over rivets, deep recesses, sharp edges, or compound curves. Orafol 3651GRA is a polymeric film designed for flat surfaces or simple curves only.
Environmental Exposure
Damage caused by exposure to fuels, oils, solvents, harsh chemicals, or sustained temperatures exceeding +80°C.
Laminate Requirement
This warranty is void if Orafol 3651GRA vinyl is used without the specified Orafol 213M over laminate.
4. Limitation of Liability & Remedy
Sole Remedy
The Company’s sole obligation under this warranty is the replacement of the defective printed material.
Labour & Removal Costs
This warranty does not cover the cost of removal, re installation, labour, vehicle downtime, or access costs.
Financial Cap
To the maximum extent permitted by law, total liability for any claim shall not exceed the original invoice value of the specific goods supplied. The Company is not liable for consequential loss, loss of profit, or business interruption.
5. Claim Procedure
To prevent fraudulent or unreasonable claims, all warranty claims must comply with the following process:
Written Notification
Claims must be submitted in writing via email and include the original invoice number.
Evidence
Clear high resolution photographs showing the failure and the surrounding application environment must be provided.
Physical Inspection
The Company reserves the right to request the return of the goods to its Melbourne facility at the customer’s expense for technical inspection prior to approving any replacement.
6. General Terms
Fitness for Purpose
The customer is solely responsible for determining whether the product is suitable for their intended application. No advice or recommendation provided by the Company constitutes a warranty of fitness for purpose unless expressly agreed in writing.
Force Majeure
The Company is not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including supplier material shortages, transport disruptions, or natural disasters.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
